Fun Flight for Alex

Our Flying Horse Away camper, Alex, received special transportation from volunteer, Rob Imlay.  Rob donated his time and aircraft to bring Alex home from the Double H Ranch Hole in the Wall Camp in New York, since Alex was the only camper from Ohio to attend that week. Alex’s father, Tim Pothast, flew with Rob to pick up Alex in New York and said, “the flight home could not be considered travel back home, but a great experience itself.”

Alex got to sit right up front to serve as ‘co-pilot’ and enjoyed learning all about aviation from his dad and Rob.  Thanks again to Rob Imlay for bringing one of our campers home safely!

Cleveland News Coverage 3/11/09

Supporters of Flying Horse Farms come in all ages, and this particular 7th grade class from Beachwood, Ohio caught the attention of Cleveland NewsChannel5. The students raised awareness for Flying Horse Farms at the Great Lakes Mall, “Day of Charity,” on Saturday, March 14th. These 7th graders understand what Flying Horse Farms is all about, and one student put it best, “It’s important for kids to be kids!” If the video does not automatically appear, download the plug-in above.

Yes, Campers, there will be water

With a swimming pool, mess hall and horse stables, not to mention lots of sweaty kids having fun in nature all day, we decided water was sort of a necessity for Flying Horse Farms. We recently solidified a deal with Del-Co Water to build a water tower that will service the camp as well as the surrounding area.  This will prevent us from hav... Read more →
