Companies, individuals, foundations, and other organizations
can make contributions of any amount to support the Camp’s
operations, the capital campaign, or Flying Horse Away program.
Obviously, the most immediate need is for the capital campaign
so we can stay on our construction schedule with an opening
date of 2009!
Cash Gift
Gifts of cash are the simplest and most convenient way of
making a contribution to Flying Horse Farms. Capital Campaign
gifts are payable over five years.
Tribute Gifts
Contributions to Flying Horse Farms can be made in memory
of a loved one or in honor of a birthday, anniversary, or
special occasion. Upon receipt of your gift, an acknowledgement
note will be sent to you, as well as the person you are honoring.

Securities
You may find it more beneficial to give securities, particularly
those that have appreciated in value. Appreciated securities,
if sold, will result in a taxable gain. By making a gift
of securities that have been held at least 12 months to Flying
Horse Farms, you receive a double tax benefit – you
avoid capital gains tax on the appreciation, and you receive
a charitable income tax deduction for the full fair market
value of the assets.
Flying Horse Away
The hospitals and children across Ohio are anxiously waiting
for the opening of Flying Horse Farms, but until that time
we are working with the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps
to send a limited number of children from Ohio to other Hole
in the Wall Camps across the country. Camperships cost Flying
Horse Farms approximately $500 per child. Camperships are
a wonderful way to sponsor a child and support our program.
The children who participate in the Flying Horse Away program
are our ambassadors and “founding” campers! Their
stories will help spread the news about Flying Horse Farms!
As with any tax-deductible gift, we recommend that you consult
your tax advisor when considering a gift of appreciated securities.
Corporate Partnerships
We see Ohio corporations, businesses, and family companies
playing a vital role in supporting the mission of Flying
Horse Farms to serve children with cancer and other serious-illnesses.
There are several ways to partner with Flying Horse Farms:
Financial Support: Companies
and organizations can make a financial commitment to support
our Capital Campaign or Annual Fund. Naming rights to Flying
Horse Farms buildings and activity areas are also available.
Gifts-in-Kind: Companies
can donate products like building materials, printing services,
medical supplies, program supplies such as canoes, arts and
crafts and sports equipment.
Volunteerism: When
we open in Summer of 2009 we will need teams of volunteers
to help with the campers in a variety of capacities, including
medical staff, cabin counselors, and program activity volunteers.
Employee
Involvement: Through matching gift payroll
deduction programs, company employees can support our organization
while also contributing to their company’s community
involvement efforts.
Cause-Related
Marketing: Flying Horse Farms can work with you
to link your company’s products and brand to our
inspiring cause through point-of-sale purchases and products
designed specifically to support the camp.
Event Support: There
will be many opportunities to get involved in sponsoring
events to raise funds for Flying Horse Farms.
